THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN IRON IS TAKING REGISTRATIONS FOR THE SUMMER BASEBALL/SOFTBALL
AND BABE RUTH PROGRAMS.
 
REGISTRATION FORMS FOR ALL THE PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN HANDED
OUT AT THE MIB ELEMENTARY SCHOOL & JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. 
FORMS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE AT THE MOUNTAIN IRON CITY HALL OR
ON THE CITY WEB SITE AT www.mtniron.com
 
YOU MAY MAIL IN OR DROP OFF YOUR REGISTRATION FORMS AND FEES AT THE MOUNTAIN IRON CITY HALL BY 4:00 P.M. THRU THE END OF MAY, 2015.
 
REGISTRATION FORMS RECEIVED AFTER MAY 1st, 2015 WILL REQUIRE AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $10.00 FOR PROCESSING.

ANNOUNCEMENT
 
The City of Mountain Iron will celebrate its 125th anniversary to coincide with the 2015 Merritt Days celebration.  This event will be held on August 1st through August 8th, 2015.
 
Make plans with your family to attend this fun-filled, family event.  Please check our web site for further information and updates coming soon.

125th CITY CELEBRATION/ MERRITT DAYS

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

 

 

Saturday, Aug. 1: Adult Kick Ball Tournament, Pickle Ball Tournament, & Archery Tournament.

 

Sunday, Aug. 2: At the West Two Rivers Campground, Church Service at Noon.

Bean Bag Games, Horseshoe and Beach Volley Ball Tournaments.

Music, Kayak Lessons, Sandcastle Contest, Concessions.

 

Monday, Aug. 3: Treasure Hunt begins.

Historical Display at the Community Center, Monday – Friday.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 4: Family Gathering at Messiah Church/Community Center parking lot. Barbecue, Live music, Bouncy house for the kids, and Photo Booth.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 5: Family Fun in the Downtown Park. Barbecue, live music, and kid’s events.

 

Thursday, Aug. 6: “Taste of Mountain Iron” ethnic food tasting at the Community Center.

Disc Golf tournament.

 

Friday, Aug. 7: Bean Bag Tournament, Bingo, Music, Concessions, Kids Events.

All Class Choir and Band Concert at the MIB School.

 

Saturday, Aug. 8: Pancake Breakfast, Walk/Run event, Wooden Bat tournament, Golf tournament,

Music, Parade, Fireworks, and a Kid’s Corner. Library open house & Historical display. Raffle winner drawing.
