Special Zoning District
ORDINANCE NUMBER 03-07
ESTABLISHING SPECIAL ZONING DISTRICT NUMBER TWO WITHIN THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN IRON
THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN IRON ORDAINS:
Section 1. Creation. A special Zoning District is hereby created and described as the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 58N, Range 18 West of the 4th Principal Meridian.
Section 2. Other Provisions. All other applicable provisions of Chapter 154 of the Mountain Iron City Code must be complied with in Special Zoning District Number 2.
Section 3. Special Provisions. The following special provisions must be complied within Special Zoning District Number 2:
a) new construction with earth tone natural or muted colors.
b) minimum 1400 square feet living space (not garage) foot print.
c) up to 3 stall garage.
d) accessory buildings of same style and appearance as house, no larger than a total
of 300 square feet.
e) fencing must be wood and left natural or stained earth tones.
f) no double lots.
g) 30 months from purchase of lot to substantial completion of structure.
h) no commercial or home businesses.
i) poured (asphalt, concrete, brick paved) driveways.
Section 4. Incorporation. Section 154.033 of the Mountain Iron City Code is hereby titled Special Zoning District Number Two. This ordinance shall be incorporated into the Mountain Iron City Code as Section 154.033, Special Zoning District 2.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after publication in the City’s official newspaper.
